Tesco Nurture

  • GLOBALG.A.P. Certification (Since 2002): This is a certification that concerns enforcing the best agricultural methods for the production of hygienically safe products for human consumption. We are the seventh company in Egypt to obtain this certificate. We are also members and partners in the global organization GLOBALG.A.P.
  • The British Retail Consortium (BRC) Certification (Since 2003): This certification is concerned with following up on the conditions conditional during packaging and with analyzing any risks that could compromise the product's safety. We were the first company in Egypt to receive this certification.
  • We are also BRC certified for food processing for the frozen straws.
  • Tesco Nurture (Grade A since 2005): This certification is also concerned with reinforcing best agriculture methods. Nurture is an exclusive scheme, independently accredited to Tesco. Any company, wishing to export to Tesco, has to receive this certification.
  • Leaf Marque Global Standard (2006): This standard is concerned with the preservation of wildlife and the protection of the environment. We are members and partners in the global organization LEAF.
  • Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audits (SMETA) Four Pillars: (Since 2007 when it was formerly known as Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI)): This ethical certification is concerned with the rights of workers and their working conditions.
  • Field to Fork (F2F) Certification (2014): This certification ensures the high quality of the food provided to Marks & Spencer.
  • TPPS Certificate (2014): This is a special certification that, allows a company to package, pack, and price products directly for Tesco supermarket. It is also one of the most difficult certifications to obtain.
  • Korra Agri is the first and only company in Egypt, which had the right to directly package products to Tesco, Sainsbury's, Coop, and Iceland retailers.
  • ISO 22000 (2017): Once we expanded our frozen business, we attained the Food Safety Management ISO certificate guaranteeing the safety of our products.
  • FDA Approved: Meaning they are safe to use with food, drinks and baby nutrition.
  • National Food Safety Authority (NFSA): Korra is on NFSA’s white list, which is a government organization in Egypt created to ensure that all food is safe to eat.
  • GRASP (2023): to export frozen to Germany

  • Additionally, we are also whitelisted within the Egyptian Authorities regarding food safety and have recently been certified by the German IDP supported by the Federal German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development for our commitment and professionalism since 2018 and because we have met the German/European standards.
